What does a technology-infused classroom looks like?
A technology-infused classroom to me would be a room filled with different types of technology and students working alone, in small groups or larger groups. Students would be using their own learning style to learn and different multiple intelligences. Students would be actively engaged in their pursuit of learning. Some students might be sitting at tables with computers collaborating on a project. Other students may be seated on the floor with laptops or iPads responding to a blog. Still other students may be doing an experiment or completing a project and taking pictures to upload to the class website. No matter what they are working on the students are actively engage and using technology in some way to complete a task/assignment/project. You would be able to see a genuine love for learning!
This photo has identified 6 areas that technology is being used. 1. Interactive Whiteboard 2. Computers 3. Laptops 4. Flip Camera 5. Digital Camera 6. Slate board which controls the interactive whiteboard from anywhere in the room

How do you plan to have a technology-infused classroom?
As I prepare my students for the 21st century, I must not only teaching the core curriculum but infused into my curriculum creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. To infused these into my curriculum, I must also make sure that students are accessing technology throughout the day. Students need to not only be exposed to the technology but applying it to real life situations. Having my students create digital stories, presentations and movies help them develop skills that can be used in the real world. My students would be sharing their work not only with me but with their peers, family and the world by posting their work on our class website or the school website. They would have continuous feedback from me as to how they are progressing on their assignment/project. Thus making sure that the students will meet their goals and objectives.
I have already begun to infuse technology into my classroom by using the SmartBoard, digital cameras, iPads and/or computers on a daily basis. I have integrated technology into most of my units. My students use the SmartBoard to work on their phonics, writing and math. They use computers and laptops to research, create presentations, brochures, digital stories and so much more and they use digital cameras to document science experiments or field trips.
However, as wonderful as all those things are, I need to keep assessing the technology that the students are using to make sure it is the best technology for students to use in learning a given concept. I also have to stay on top of the emerging technologies to make sure my students' learning is enhanced by the best technology that is available to them. The sky is the limit for students in today's world and we have to make sure that we let them soar.
